What it does
A carry case and a chest-mount harness in one, for the SHARE C10 series. As a backpack it carries the scanner and its kit to site and gives you somewhere to set up from. It then converts into a harness that holds the scanner on your chest while you scan.
Chest-mounted, the load sits on your shoulders and hips instead of your arms, which is what lets a capture run for a full day rather than ending when your arms give out. It also holds the scanner at a consistent height and orientation, so the trajectory is steadier and ground classification is easier in processing, and it leaves your hands free for gates, ladders, handrails and the tablet.
Handheld remains the right way to work for short runs, tight plant and anywhere you need to reach over or under something. The chest mount is for the long days.
